Laura Hyatt, Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND) Testimonial

Support from Angeles Art Fund has been deeply impactful over the past 6 years for LAND. There are not many funding sources available to small, Los Angeles-based nonprofits with such a clear guiding principle. Grants have closed the gap for some of LAND’s most ambitious public projects, supporting artists from Jose Davila to Kahlil Joseph and Jackie Amezquita. As LAND’s scale and ambitions have grown, support from Angeles Art Fund has given us the confidence to pursue evermore experimental projects and practices. The collective fundraising model has provided tangible support as well as modeling new forms of patronage that we strive to pass along in the ways we uplift artists and collaborators. Thank you for championing this work and community of artists in such a profound way.

Anne Ellegood, Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles Testimonial

By focusing on supporting small to mid-sized visual arts organization in Los Angeles, AAF has made a real impact since it was founded and become an essential player in the fundraising landscape. The organizations you support are essential to the arts ecosystem of Los Angeles—we are the spaces that many artists have their first exhibitions, their first collaborations with a curator, and the first time they will receive the type of institutional support that can deepen their practice and increase visibility for their work. I can emphatically say that every penny counts, and ALL support is truly meaningful. The vote of support in the work we are doing that is expressed by AAF through its funding is genuinely impactful. It’s inspiring, gratifying, and gives us confidence that the work we are doing is important. That is priceless.
